QA Automation Engineer

Build the automated safety nets that let client projects ship weekly without fear.

Full-time Kathmandu / Remote Posted June 15, 2026
All open roles

Quality at Converge is engineered, not inspected. You'll build test automation into client projects from sprint one: API and end-to-end suites, performance baselines, and the CI integration that makes green mean go. You'll work across teams, making quality a property of the system rather than a phase.

What you'll do

  • Design test strategies for new client projects, from unit to end-to-end
  • Build and maintain automation suites (Playwright, Vitest/Jest, API testing)
  • Integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines
  • Establish performance and accessibility baselines
  • Coach engineers on testable design and testing craft

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years in test automation for web applications
  • Strong Playwright or Cypress experience, plus API-level testing
  • Programming fluency in TypeScript or JavaScript
  • CI/CD integration experience
  • A pragmatist's eye for what to automate and what not to

Nice to have

  • Performance testing (k6, Artillery)
  • Accessibility auditing
  • Mobile and kiosk testing experience

The interview

How and where we'll actually meet

Scheduling and interviews both run on workforge.team, so everything — your slot, the brief, and the call itself — lives behind one link.

  1. 01

    You get an invite link

If your application moves forward, we email you a personal invite to workforge.team — the HR platform we run our hiring on. No account to create beforehand.

  2. 02

    You pick the slot

Open the link and choose a time that actually suits you from our live availability. Need to move it later? Reschedule yourself from the same link.

  3. 03

    The brief arrives first

Ahead of the date you'll get the format, who you'll be meeting, and anything worth looking at beforehand. Nothing in the conversation is a surprise.

  4. 04

    We meet over video

The call runs inside workforge.team — browser only, nothing to install. Joining details sit on the same invite, so there's no scramble on the day.
